2017年より独学でアート制作を開始。ニューヨークでの活動を経て、現在は富山を拠点に制作を行う。

作品にはコンクリートを中心に、廃木材やプラスチックなどの素材を用いる。木材は自然を、コンクリートやプラスチックは人工物を象徴する存在である。枯れた盆栽の根や、マンハッタンの歩道に捨てられた小さなクリスマスツリーなど、役割を終えた素材を取り入れることもある。

コンクリートは、地球上で最も大量に存在する人工物の一つであり、人間の営みを象徴する素材として捉えている。その造形は、ロシア・アヴァンギャルド建築の思想に着想を得た建築的なフォルムを基調とし、建築から芸術への逆輸入を試みることで、人間の合理性や秩序への意識を造形として再構築している。

作品では、自然物と人工物の間にわずかな空間を設けている。その距離が生み出す静かな緊張や引力、そして無機と有機がさりげなく交わる瞬間に、穏やかな美しさを見出している。

制作は完成された答えから始まるものではない。素材や配置を問い続けながら手を動かし、人と自然、無機と有機が交差する曖昧な均衡を探り続けている。

Self-taught since 2017, the artist began an independent practice before spending time working in New York. Currently based in Toyama, Japan.

The works primarily employ concrete alongside reclaimed wood and plastic. Wood represents the natural world, while concrete and plastic symbolize the built environment. Found materials, including the roots of dead bonsai trees and discarded Christmas trees collected from the sidewalks of Manhattan, are often incorporated into the work.

Concrete is regarded as a material that embodies human activity, as it is one of the most abundant man-made materials on Earth. Its architectural forms draw inspiration from Russian Avant-Garde architecture. By translating architectural language into sculptural practice, the work explores ideas of human rationality and the systems of order that shape contemporary society.

A subtle gap is intentionally left between natural and artificial elements. It is within this distance that quiet tension, attraction, and a sense of balance emerge. The work seeks moments where the organic and the inorganic coexist, revealing a quiet and understated beauty.

Rather than beginning with predetermined answers, each work develops through an ongoing process of questioning material, form, and placement. The practice continues as an exploration of the delicate equilibrium where nature and humanity, the organic and the inorganic, intersect.
